Edmontonian Summer: Something for Everyone
Hello fellow students! For those of us who are going to be in Edmonton for most of the summer, whether working or simply lazing away those carefree (hah!) days, here are a few events to look forward to:
Edmonton International Jazz Festival
June 25 – July 4
Jazz music has that certain “Je ne seis pas”. Whether it’s smoky blues or swing, there’s something in it for everyone. So why not enjoy some of the sights and sounds at the Edmonton International Jazz Festival this July?
A Taste of Edmonton
July 23 – Aug. 1
Get your fill of Edmonton’s hottest restaurants, representing a wide variety of cuisines, at A Taste of Edmonton. Or enjoy a wide selection of wine and/or beer in one of the various drinking tents set up. Who doesn’t like the sound of that?
Edmonton Folk Music Festival
Aug. 5 – Aug. 8
Everyone looks forward to this annual music festival, which features an astounding array of artists performing in the beautiful Gallagher Park, nestled in the Edmonton river valley.
Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival
Aug. 12 – Aug. 22
The Edmonton Fringe festival is the largest Fringe Festival in Canada based on ticket sales. If you’re into theatre and the arts, this is definitely a must-attend.

So if you’re into music, theatre, alcohol, food, or just having a plain old good time, you have more than something to look forward to this summer!

Scott! I enjoy your event posts. I don’t know how to keep myself up to date so I am glad to have you to do it for me. I am excited for summer to come so we can go to them!!!
