Veggies yum!

Hello delicious veggies. Hello brain food.

With a good breakfast and lunch routine you can feel energized throughout the school day. Visit your local grocery store to stock up on big leafy greens (try kale and swiss chard), crunchy veggies (try peppers, carrots, broccoli), juicy, mouth watering fruit (try navel oranges) and healthy grains (try quinoa). Add these ingredients to sandwiches, rice bowls or salads. These healthy treats will blend well into any of your favourite entrees. Bring your fresh food choices with you as a midday snack.

    My favorite after school snack is sliced cucumbers with salt and pepper or an assortment of veggies with light italian dressing as a dip!
